My First Mother's Day...

Sunday was my very first Mother's Day and what a lovely day I had.
In regards to what I got as a present, on Saturday Troy took me to this place called 'How to Cook' as for the last month or so I've been reading alot about fondant cakes and cake decorating so that when Troy's and Hudson's birthdays click around I can make some really nice cakes for them. I have also been slowly building my 'kit' to have all the tools to do this properly. The shop section of 'How to Cook' is AMAZING! It's a cooking-lover's dream. So much stuff I wondered around for quite a while in awwwwwwww of all the wonderful bits and pieces.
The sales-lady was so helpful too. She then told me about their 4-week courses they do for cake decorating and that there was a beginners one starting in August. She gave me the brochure and I was so excited.
So after a little purchase for my kit which was my present from Troy & Hudson. On the way home Troy told me that as another part of my present I should do the course! I pretty much squealed with excitement..... so look out....many cake blogs to come in August.
